Classes begin on Wednesday, September 7th. There will be Open Houses in late August and early September (dates will follow shortly). Please feel free to drop by during that time to say hello and meet us, check out our facility updates, and stock up on anything you might need in our store.
Attire
If you need help purchasing shoes or clothing, we can help you. The Studio has its own retail store and is able to supply all of your needs for shoes and attire.
See our Dance Wear form to get an idea of what we carry.
Female dance students should wear either pink or black leotards and pink tights. Male students should check with Jennifer concerning attire.
For ballet, pink, leather ballet slippers should be worn (split soles are best). Shoes should fit securely. Drawstrings should be knotted at the appropriate length and cut short to tuck inside the shoe. Elastics (if not already attached) should be sewn on directly below the ankle bone on both sides. See Jennifer with any questions.
For tap, children should wear black, patent-leather tap oxfords with an elastic strap. Dancers aged 10 and up should purchase tap oxfords that lace with reinforced toes. Adults should wear heeled shoes, either those styled as character shoes or those that lace. See Jennifer with any questions.
For jazz, black leather oxfords or sandals should be worn. Booties, oxfords that lace, as well as sandals with a split sole are acceptable. Again, see Jennifer with any questions.
Hair
All dance students should have their hair off of their neck and out of their face. Female students are required to have their hair secured in a bun for ballet class.
