The Studio Company’s Performance Opportunities

There are many opportunities to get involved at The Studio! The Studio Company is comprised of our Ballet Company and The Studio Company Competition Teams. Many of our serious dancers are members of one or both of these groups. Members of these groups take summer dance classes. Auditions are held in the spring for the following fall season. Usually all of our interested dancers will be granted admission to The Studio Ballet Company. The Studio Company Competition Teams are more competitive.

The Studio Ballet Company

Dancers in The Studio Ballet Company perform in our Spring Ballets. Past ballets include TinkerBell, Alice in Wonderland, Beauty & The Beast, and Cinderella, just to name a few. We perform our Nutcracker every three years. Younger dancers may join the company by taking two ballet classes a week. Requirements increase for pointe dancers.

The Studio Company Competition Teams

Team Studio dancers attend dance competitions. They also have some opportunities to perform locally. There are opportunities for big trips, e.g. Disney World or Europe (2023!), but most of our travel is local. We perform for community festivals, incorporating our service project for the year as well. Our competition dancers have the most rigorous dance class requirements.
